What Happens at HERS Stays at HERS

HERS strives for active learning environments where participants engage in meaningful discussions with one another, grow from diverse perspectives, wrestle with complex issues about higher education, and challenge their perceptions of leadership. In order to create a space for genuine discussion, feedback, and growth, all participants and facilitators agree to keep specifics of conversations, sessions, advice, or feedback including names of individuals and/or institutional references confidential before, during, and after participating in a program. In developing and advancing wom*n leaders in higher education, these standards of engagement and confidentiality are expectations across all HERS services, including our virtual environment.

If a program is recorded and posted online, HERS will make all efforts to remove written personally identifiable information from the recording. All attendees and facilitators will be informed if a session is being recorded in advance.

Privacy

HERS takes the privacy of our clients, facilitators, and others seriously. We collect information needed to perform a service or facilitate a program. We do not sell or share information collected with outside organizations. We may use your information to provide you with information about additional HERS offerings. Please refer to the HERS Privacy Statement for additional information.

Media Release

All attendees of HERS (Higher Education Resource Services) programs agree that its employees, or agents have the right to take photographs, videotape, or digital recordings of me during HERS programs and to use these in any and all media, now or hereafter known, and exclusively for the purpose of HERS. While HERS will make all efforts to remove written identifiable information, I further consent that my identity may be revealed therein or by descriptive text or commentary. I do hereby release to HERS, its agents, and employees all rights to exhibit this work in print and electronic form publicly or privately and to market and sell copies. I waive any rights, claims, or interest I may have to control the use of my identity or likeness in whatever media used.

Unless otherwise agreed to there will be no financial or other remuneration for recording me, either for initial or subsequent transmission or playback. HERS is not responsible for any expense or liability incurred as a result of my participation in this recording, including medical expenses due to any sickness or injury incurred as a result.
